Today I did a bit of cleaning on deviantart. There are two sides to this story: I keep finding myself continuously frustrated with my photography. I feel that behind the editing is a beautiful raw image that I loved, and for some reason changed, taking away what I liked about it most in the first place: that it was real. A real moment and memory. From now on I'm going to lean away from the editing software that I've been using almost as a crutch, and focus on bringing out what I see with my eyes, not just what shows up on the memory card with a click of a button. Hello everyone. Well, I am back from holiday camping, but not back on my side of the country quite yet. Tonight and tomorrow will be spent packing to head back to my university city, where I will then spend a week preparing and actually moving into my dorm room (for the first time!... Nervous, but excited!) My plane leaves sunday night and after that, I will not see my family until Christmas... so it is important to spend as much time with them as possible. I have so many pictures on my camera and computer, film to develop, polaroids to scan (and hang in my new home). Although It may take me some time, I will start updating my 52-week proje

Today I'm heading to the great lakes until August 14th for lots of beach time and lots of camping =) I will have tones of pictures to post when I get back, so I hope that will make up for the lack of posts in the next little bit! Enjoy your summer kids, it's never long enough.
